GBI says man killed grandmother, grandson, self

DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. - Investigators have released new information in the devastation murder case of a grandmother and her 17-month-old grandson in Dooly County.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation believes a neighbor killed the pair before taking his own life.

Investigators said 60-year-old Willie Merrell fired the deadly shots on Jan. 25 killing 47-year-old Priscilla Adams and 17-month-old Jashun Ingram.

Officers said Merrell also shot and wounded a 17-year-old girl before he turned the gun on himself.

All the gunshots were fired from Merrell’s rifle, according to police.
