The Clayton County Sheriff's Office arrested the suspect that led police on a high-speed chase following an officer-involved shooting.

Police say that they attempted a simple traffic stop on a driver on Interstate 75 just before 1:30 a.m., but during the stop, the driver, who the Clayton County Sheriff Office has identified as Joseph Jeannick Moore, took off.

After a chase, they followed the vehicle to a cul-de-sac off of Autumn Lake Drive in Henry County.

The officers approached the stopped car to talk to the suspect. That's when they say Moore started driving at them. The two officers then opened fire.

Investigators found the car involved in the incident a little while later on Head Lane in McDonough.

Earlier Saturday, Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill put a felony probation warrant out for Moore and placed him at the top of his top 10 most wanted list.

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office warned Moore was "considered armed and dangerous."
