GA Aquarium penguin 'couple' celebrate Valentine's Day

An adorable "couple" of nearly three decades celebrated Valentine's Day and their love for one another at Georgia Aquarium Wednesday morning.

Charlie and Lizzy, two of the aquarium's African penguins, have been an item for 27 years, fostering many chicks in their time in Atlanta. 

Wednesday morning, Charlie and Lizzy, celebrated Valentine's Day by taking a stroll through the aquarium. (Did you know penguins are monogamous and usually choose a pair to mate for life with?)

African penguins are an endangered species and typically live 10-15 years in the wild and into their mid-late 20s in a zoo or aquarium. 

Charlie and Lizzy are Georgia Aquarium's oldest penguins.
