FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Fulton County police now have 170 brand new body cams and dash cams in patrol cars. Officers unveiled the new equipment Wednesday morning at their police headquarters.
Officials said the cameras have several upgrades that will better protect officers in the line of duty.
According to police, the cameras will automatically turn on when blue lights are activated, alert command of an officer’s location, will connect to 911 if an officer is down, and record video that cannot be tampered with.
Fulton County said these cameras are also the first in metro Atlanta with the ability to take 360-degree crime scene evidence photos.
