FOX 5 helps the Atlanta Community Food Bank

ATLANTA - It is a special holiday tradition that puts Thanksgiving meals on the table for 3,200 metro Atlanta families.

Tuesday was the Atlanta Community Food Bank's 18th Annual Thanksgiving Dish event.

Some of the FOX 5 team was there to help cook about 1250 pounds of turkey, 850 pounds of mashed potatoes, and 65 gallons of gravy.

Those were just some of the items on the menu.

This effort provides meals for local nonprofits like food pantries, homeless shelters, and rehab programs, all partners with the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
