Former KSU student faces more rape charges

More charges have been filed against a Kennesaw State University student arrested earlier this month after police said he raped a woman.

Benjamin David Wainscott, 20, was arrested two weeks ago for an assault earlier in the month. Police said the victim was not a student, but did happen in the university’s door. Authorities said Wainscott invited the victim to dinner and, afterward to his dorm room. During sex, the victim asked Wainscott to stop multiple times, but authorities stated in the warrant for his arrest that he continued for at least another two to three minutes.

Police said the new charges stem from an earlier incident back in July.

Wainscott remained in the Cobb County Jail Monday without bond.

He is no longer a student at KSU.
