Former corrections officer accused of putting detainees in a room to fight

A Cobb County corrections officer is out of a job and under arrest.

Authorities said 33-year-old Trevor Coker put three underage detainees in a room to fight each other.

The former juvenile corrections officer was arrested on four felony counts Monday.

According to the warrant, Coker was working at the Marietta Regional Detention Center Back in May when he allowed three young men to go into a room and fight.

Officials said one of the juveniles had his tooth knocked out.

Coker is facing three felony charges of cruelty to a child plus a felony charge of violation of oath of office.
