The woman accused of shooting her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend in Forest Park late Thursday night is behind bars, according to a Forest Park Police Department spokesperson.

“We put out a B.O.L.O. for Tia Marie dos Santos and her white Toyota shortly after the crime. Authorities in Knox County, Tennessee spotted that car and her in it around 1:30 this afternoon. At some point, there was a brief foot chase, but she is now in custody in Knoxville. She's facing murder and aggravated assault charges,” said Sgt. Kelli Flanigan.

Investigators said Tia Marie Dos Santos, 23, fled after she shot her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend at the boyfriend's home on North Avenue late Thursday night.

Officers responded to a "shots fired" call just before 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a man and woman, Claudette Noremia Duclos, 30, bleeding from gunshot wounds. They were both taken to the hospital, where Duclos passed away. The male victim was shot in the arm and is expected to survive. Police are not releasing his name since he is still in the hospital.

Dos Santos will be extradited back from Tennessee. She will be charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Friday morning, officers released a prior mugshot of Dos Santos, who was arrested in May for stalking the same man injured in the shooting Thursday and making harassing phone calls. The charges for that arrest are still pending. Neighbors said a woman also painted large profane words on the man's home and smashed his truck windows in the driveway a few months ago.

“I don't know who the woman was, but he told me he had her thrown in jail and now to think it may have been the same person who did this... just breaks my heart. That's a life you took. A family is hurting now... for what?” neighbor Mary Smith said hours after the shooting.
