FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Floyd County Schools decided to be on a two-hour delay Friday morning due to flooding and unsafe road conditions.
The school district posted on their Facebook page that the delay applies for staff and students.
Schools will be dismissed at the regular time, officials said.
They are asking all CCA bus riders at CHS and AHS should report directly to their school’s auditorium upon arrival.
School officials urge caution while driving on the roadways Friday. They advise parents who do not feel safe to travel to school, to wait until it is safe to do so.
School officials said if conditions worsen, they will notify parents by 6 a.m. Friday.
