Fire rips through Gwinnett County radio station

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Fire rips through a Hispanic radio station in Gwinnett County leaving behind extensive damage.

The building on Ezzard Street in Lawrenceville was home to La Bonita 610AM.

Firefighters said an employee arrived at work Tuesday morning and turned on the heating unit.

After a couple of hours, the smoke alarms went off and he smelled smoke.

He left the building and called for help.

Fire investigators said a malfunctioning heating system attached to an outside wall was the ignition point of the fire.
