Father pleads guilty to starving baby girl to death

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A Gwinnett County man has pleaded guilty to murder in the death of his 15-month-old daughter.

The District Attorney says 48-year-old Calvin Mcintosh starved Tyanne Alcenti Sweeting.

She weighed just 7 pounds when police found her dead in a Gwinnett County hotel in 2014.

His three other children and the infant's mother were also starved for allegedly misbehaving.

Mcintosh surprised the judge when he pleaded guilty Tuesday ahead of his trial.

He will spend life in prison plus 30 years as part of a plea agreement.
