The family of a man severely injured during the construction of the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium spoke out Thursday.

Sonny Rogers passed away last month, a little over three years after scaffolding fell on his head as he worked at the stadium construction site.

The family filed a lawsuit not long after the incident.

Thursday, their lawyer, Keenan Nix, said he feels confident they have a strong case.

Nix said he believes the case will go before a jury within the next year.

In addition to compensation for pain and suffering, the family said they want compensation to pay for medical bills they say have topped $10 million.
