Dunwoody community mourns UGA student death

Hundreds gathered at Dunwoody High School to pay their respects to 19-year-old Halle Scott, one of the four UGA students who tragically lost their lives in a car crash Wednesday.

Scott, a UGA Marketing major, graduated from Dunwoody High in 2014.

Friends remember the UGA student as a friendly, loving young woman who enjoyed cheerleading, horseback-riding, and was very involved in her local church's Bible Study and Sunday School classes.

"Halle is in heaven, right now," said one friend to the crowd in the school's auditorium.

Scott's funeral is Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Dunwoody United Methodist Church.
