Thieves target Gwinnett County auto dealership

DULUTH, Ga. - Employees at a Gwinnett County dealership are upset and on edge after, they said, thieves struck their business three times in the last six months.

Betty Herrera told FOX 5 News that a robbing trio broke into Southern Star Automotive in Duluth Thursday night and stole a black 2012 Cadillac SRX. She said, according to store surveillance video, the group stole the key from inside the building after smashing a glass door.

"It's pretty shocking. This our third time now," Herrera said. "These guys look pretty young to me. They look like they are in their 20's...It's just crazy how you could risk your life just like that."

Herrera added that thieves also stole a Chevrolet Tahoe and an Infinti M35 during the summer. She said the Tahoe was recovered.

Employees at the business don't know if the three crimes are connected. But they urge anyone with information
to call the Duluth Police Department.
