Drug trafficking organization busted in North Georgia

A major drug bust spanning several North Georgia counties leads to the seizure of meth, guns and thousands of dollars in cash.

The Appalachian Regional Enforcement Office teamed up with the Stephan’s County Sheriff’s Office, the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and the Toccoa Police Department.

Officials say they served 10 search warrant and 25 arrest warrants throughout the weekend to suppliers and customer of this one drug ring.

Authorities seized one pound of meth, a number of firearms and more than $3,800 in cash.
