SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. - Five people were arrested in Spalding County over the weekend after Special Ops units served two search warrants for meth and marijuana, according to the Spalding County Sheriff's Office.
Three people were arrested during the first drug bust, which happened in the 1300 block of Winona Avenue. That included Kuanell Dallas, Maurice Newton, and Latoncha Starks. All of the suspects are facing several charges including possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The second search warrant was on Kathy Lane, where two more people were arrested for possession of methamphetamine. The suspects have been identified as Travis Fowler and Hanna Fowler. They were also charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of marijuana, less than one ounce.
Because of the history of violence and weapons, SWAT was brought in, deputies said.
No injuries were reported during the arrests.
