Domestic dispute causes brief SWAT standoff in Buckhead

ATLANTA - Atlanta police said a woman is facing charges after officers said she fired a shot during an argument with her boyfriend.

It happened in Buckhead at an apartment complex off of Peachtree Road.

Investigators said a man called police after the confrontation with his girlfriend and when officers arrived on the scene, they said she fired a shot.

Officers said the woman then briefly barricaded herself inside the apartment before she finally surrendered.

That woman is now facing an aggravated assault charge.

Her name has not yet been released.

There were no reports of injuries.
