District: Substitute teacher fired for misusing school computers

A DeKalb County substitute teacher was fired after the school district said he may have misused the school’s computers.

The DeKalb County School District confirmed they are investigating a case of a male teacher after a parent at Montgomery Elementary School filed a police report against the teacher. The police report states the substitute teacher was viewing pornography in the classroom.

According to the police report, the 9-year-old student told his mother he walked up to the teacher's desk and saw naked women on the computer.

The DeKalb County School District released the following statement regarding the investigation:

"Recently, an investigation was opened involving an employee accused of misusing district technology resources. Once this allegation was brought to the attention of school leadership and investigated, the employee was immediately removed from the school."
