FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities said a known drug dealer is still on the run after Fayette Deputies and the SWAT team surrounded a drug house and arrested three people inside.
Only FOX 5 News was there as investigators from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office finished their raid of the home on Ridge Drive in an upscale community in south metro Atlanta.
"We don't want [drug activity] anywhere, especially when there's children-- and this neighborhood has kids," said Sheriff Barry Babb, who told FOX 5 News a tip led deputies to the house, where neighbors said they had seen numerous people constantly coming in and out of the residence.
Deputies are still searching for Billy Hendrix, who law enforcement said may have the stash of meth involved in the drug trafficking out of the house.
Deputies said Hendrix has a criminal history that indicates possible violence towards law enforcement and utilized the SWAT team to enter the home to search for him.
Authorities said three people were arrested, and a small amount of heroin and meth were found.
Neighbors said the ordeal was bizarre for the upscale community.
"It surprises me. It really surprises me," one woman said.
Investigators are still looking into where the drugs came from, and how the individuals ended up living in the home.
