Three men were taken to the hospital after a shooting in DeKalb County early Monday morning.

DeKalb County Police Sgt. Adam Quiqley told FOX 5 around 12:45 a.m., gunfire rang out at a home located in the 2800 block of Monterey Drive.  Police said a man who lives at the home was with another person. They then called a third man, who came over. The man who arrived at the house was armed. Police said one of the two men already there was armed too.

Some kind of altercation broke out at the front door, things escalated, and all three of the men ended up getting shot.

Paramedics rushed the men, who are all in their 30's to 40's, to Grady Memorial Hospital.  Doctors said they are expected to survive, but one is listed in serious condition. The victims were all shot in the side or stomach.

Skip Clark and his family rent rooms at the house, and he said they were woken by the gunfire.  Clark went to investigate and found the house manager had been shot. The manager told him that he was hit while trying to stop the other two gunmen from shooting each other.  Clark then found the other injured men.

Police have yet to verify whether the house manager or the other man who was already at the house exchanged gunfire with the person who arrived.
