DeKalb County Police are investigating a deadly road rage incident late Wednesday night.

Just before midnight, investigators said Cedric Williams, 22, of Decatur, was driving down Memorial when he accidentally cut off by another vehicle near Columbia Drive. Police said someone inside the other vehicle started shooting.

"there was no exchange of words. There wasn't anything like that the driver decided to take his anger and frustration out and shoot Williams," said Shiera Campbell, DeKalb County Police Department.

The victim died instantly, according to police. He veered off the road and into a house. Police said two female passengers inside the car were not hurt, and they're now talking with police.

"it was a lot just to see someone die for someone else's stupidity," said Secoy Garrett, who saw the car just moments after it crashed into his neighbor’s home. "We ran in there. We heard the other two ladies yelling help, so we got them out."

Despite the major damage to the home, no one inside was injured.

There is no suspect in custody.
