Counting continues for Georgia's U.S. District 7 seat

- Two days after the election, residents in Georgia’s U.S. District 7 wants to know who will represent them in the next Congress.

Republican incumbent Rob Woodall led Democratic challenger Carolyn Bourdeaux by only 890 votes at last count Thursday afternoon. That is a margin of less than a third of a percent.

ELECTION RESULTS: U.S. House

Any race within Georgia that is within one percent automatically triggers a recount.

Ballots were still being counted as of Thursday.

Woodall, who is a four-term representative, was outpaced in fundraising by the Bourdeau, a college professor, during the campaign.

District 7 coverage a good portion of Gwinnett County and about half of Forsyth County.
