COBB COUNTY, Ga. - A Cobb County couple faces charges of cruelty to children after police said they rescued five kids in their care from filthy conditions.
Officers responded to Richard Coolidge and Amanda Lufkins' home on Chapelle Court in Marietta on Tuesday night.
There was a call about a domestic dispute.
At the home, police said they found five children, ages 1 through 12, with unexplained bruises, no hot water, and no working air conditioner.
The home reportedly smelled of urine and feces.
Authorities removed the children from the home and arrested the couple.
