REX, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Firefighters are investigating after a Clayton County school bus caught fire on the interstate Tuesday afternoon.
It happened along Interstate 675 near the Highway 42 exit. Officials with the Clayton County Schools said no students were on board at the time. Officials said the bus driver’s prompt actions helped to prevent a bigger fire.
A Georgia Department of Transportation camera caught video of the bus smoking just after firefighters put out the flames.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
