Civil Rights groups says KSU took away student's rights
KENNESAW, Ga. - A national civil rights group said Kennesaw State University officials took away students' First Amendment rights.
That after five cheerleaders kneeled during the national anthem before a game.
KSU officials decided to keep the cheerleaders off the field during pre-game activities following the incident.
This was one of the several changes made to enhance the game-day atmosphere, according to KSU officials.
The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights under Law believes this is an act of retaliation.
