Celebration of Life service planned for CDC worker Saturday

- Morehouse College will hold a Celebration of Life service for Dr. Timothy Cunningham on Saturday.

Cunningham was a commander in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention office in Chamblee. Cunningham was reported missing February 12 after leaving his job early. According to police, all of his belongings were left behind, including his wallet, keys, and identification.

His body was found the evening of April 3 in the Chattahoochee River behind the Atlanta Public Safety Annex located along Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. There were no apparent signs of foul play and many questions remain more than two weeks later.

Cunningham was graduated from Morehouse College.

The service will be held at the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel Saturday at 10 a.m.
