Marietta Marine's memorial magnet found

MARIETTA, Ga. - The agonizing, day long search for a cherished memorial ended with good news Monday morning, for the mother of a fallen Marietta Marine. FOX 5 News has learned a car magnet belonging to Cathy Wells, mother of Lance Corporal Skip Wells has been found.

Lance Corporal Wells died last month when a gunman opened fire on a Marine recruiting center in Chattanooga.

Wells’ mother, Cathy Wells, said the magnet was missing from her car Monday morning. Wells told FOX 5 Atlanta she thinks the magnet was taken while she was inside the recruiter’s office at Chastain Meadows in Marietta.

A Wells family spokesperson says the magnet was found about a mile away from the recruiter's office. It's not clear how it ended up there.
