‘Cabbage contraband' confiscated at GA state prison

The Georgia Department of Corrections intercepted a shipment of "cabbage contraband" during a shakedown at a state prison Wednesday.

CERT officers at Ware State Prison noticed something strange about a bag of cabbage, and when they searched inside the leafy greens they realized they had been hollowed out and stuffed with contraband.

The paraphernalia included two large vacuum sealed bags of marijuana, two large plastic wrapped bags of tobacco, eight plastic wrapped touchscreen phones, two small wrapped bags of chargers, six flip-phones, and a small bag of headsets.

The Georgia Department of Corrections shared an image of the confiscated items, saying "not on our watch."
