A 6-year-old boy died following a 3 car crash in Hall County on Tuesday evening.

It happened at Poplar Springs Road at Sloan Mill Road just before 7:30 p.m. A spokesperson for the Georgia State Patrol said a 2010 Mazda 3i crossed the path of a 2013 Chevrolet Van heading south on Poplar Springs Road. The van spun out and ended up crashing into a 2005 Mazda 3I heading in the opposite direction.

The driver of the 2010 Mazda 3i, identified by GSP troopers as Geovanna Juarez, 33, of Gainesville, had four children riding in the car. A 16-year-old girl was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center while two other girls, age 8 and 5, were transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. A 6-year-old boy was killed in the crash.

The driver of the other two vehicles, identified as James Cripps, 41, and Ashley Sosebee, 26, both of Gainesville, were also taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Investigators said they are trying to determine if Juarez came to a complete stop before entering the path of the van.
