Body of missing 60-year-old Hall County man found

The body of a missing Hall County man has been found.

Thursday afternoon, Hall County sheriff's deputies responded to the 3100 block of Heritage Crossing Drive in south Hall County after a resident found a man's body around 4 p.m. in a wooded area behind a home.

The man was identified as Jesse Dean Day, 60, of Buford, who had been reported missing earlier this week. Day walked away from his home on Friendship Road around 3 p.m. on Monday and hadn't been seen or heard from since.

Day's family told investigators that he had a "diminished mental capacity" and couldn't remember his address.

Day's body was found about a half mile from his home.

Investigators said they didn't find any signs of foul play or trauma during the preliminary investigation.
