Friends gathered Thursday night to mourn the loss of a woman found dead in the middle of an Atlanta park earlier this week.

Bridget Shiel was found naked an shot to death on Tuesday. Her red Ford was found behind a restaurant in Stone Mountain early Wednesday morning and homicide detectives are calling the discovery a major break in the case. They have been looking for the car ever since the 19-year-old victim's body was found at Oakland City Park Tuesday morning.

“She did not deserve to die this way with no dignity,” said Shiel’s mother, Angela Shiel.

Atlanta Police found Shiel's body after responding to a report of an injured person at the park. According to police, the 911 caller didn't realize the victim was dead when the call was made.

Police said Shiel was in the grass near a basketball court at the park, completely naked with no clothing or personal items present. Police believe she died from multiple gunshot wounds to her back, legs and arms.

"She is a wonderful person," said Beverly Tolle, Shiel's grandmother. "If only she had a chance to finish growing up, I think she would have made a difference."

Wednesday Shiel's red Ford Fusion was found behind a DeKalb County restaurant on Redan Road.

The owner of King Southern Delight said he first noticed the car behind his restaurant on Tuesday, but didn't think much of it. Wednesday morning, he contacted police after watching the news and realizing authorities were searching for Shiel's car.

A police K9 was brought in to canvass the area around the car, which police said had a number of personal items inside of it, including some of Shiel's clothes. However, investigators told us there were no immediate signs that the teen had been murdered inside the vehicle.

Investigators told FOX 5 the car is headed to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab.

At this time, the discovery of Shiel's car is the biggest lead in the case. No arrests have been made.

Loved ones tell FOX 5 that Shiel was an aspiring hairdresser.  They said she was a beautiful person inside and out.

"She was trying to be successful but, you know, heaven couldn't wait for her," said friend Princess Wimberly.

Friends have set up a fund to help pay for her funeral services. Anyone who would like to donate can go to https://www.gofundme.com/277svpg
