Bert's Big Adventure Holiday Reunion

A special reunion took place last week in Buckhead as nearly 65 Bert’s Big Adventure families gathered at Phipps Plaza for a holiday get-together with Santa.

Bert’s Big Adventure is a nonprofit that was established in 2002 by Q100’s The Bert Show, which is an Atlanta-based radio show. Every year the nonprofit provides an all-expenses-paid, five-day trip to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. Following the special trip, Bert’s Big Adventure provides year-round support.

The trip allows for families in the community to establish lasting friendships with others facing similar challenges, and last Sunday was a day for those families to get together and have some fun.

The reunion included holiday crafts, dancing, carolers, a Jim ‘N Nicks BBQ dinner, live music and of course Santa Claus himself!

“We want to thank all of the wonderful people who came together to make this a magical evening!” Bert’s Big Adventure said.
