BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. - An 18-year-old from Bartow County was shot four times overnight, according to Bartow County EMS.
Deputies said the shooting happened at The Oaks of Valley View Apartments around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cartersville.
The teen was hit in the thigh, shoulder, his face, and upper back. He was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital and was conscious at the time.
“At this time it is still early in the investigation so we haven't figured out a motive yet,” said Investigator Johnathan Shirley.
Bartow County investigators are tight-lipped about the case. Deputies said it is too early to talk about motive, but they said the teen victim did not live in the complex.
Residents of the complex said they are shaken and some even expressed the immediate desire to move out of the area.
