Authorities: Man attempts to bribe deputy with $6K during arrest

- A Flowery Branch man was arrested Monday for bribery, obstruction and disorderly conduct.

Deputies were called to the 3900 block of Hidden Hill Road, where 21-year-old David Montano was allegedly intoxicated at Mincey Marble, where he works.

Investigators said Montano's coworkers were scared of getting hurt after the suspect started using abusive and vulgar language. According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Montano didn't listen to authorities, struck a deputy on his arms and legs, then continued acting aggressively toward law enforcement after being handcuffed.

Then, investigators said Montano tried to bribe the deputy by offering $2,000 and $6,000.

He was taken to the Hall County Jail.
