Atlantans strip down, brave snow for charity run

- Cold temperatures and a little snow on the ground didn't stop hundreds of runners from showing off their holiday spirit Saturday.

And they did it all in Speedos.

It was all for the Atlanta Santa Speedo Run.

Proceeds from the run support the work of local charity Bert's Big Adventure, which provides a trip to Disney World for children with terminal illnesses.

Runner Wes Hendrix, decked out in reindeer glasses, a Santa hat, and not much else, said he hadn't done any kind of fundraising before, so he set a small goal of $250 and raised it.

"I wasn't going to let all the people that trusted me to raise money down by missing today," he said.

Organizers say they're grateful for the chance to come together each year and give back to the community.
