Atlanta Police said a 17-year-old was shot in the leg, and family members said the dispute was over a case of "road rage."

Police said the ordeal happened Saturday morning around 4 a.m. on the 300 block of Cleveland Avenue. Family members tell FOX 5 off-camera that the teenager in a car was bumped by another vehicle; when the teenager confronted the other car, a gunman shot him twice in the leg.

The teenager's brother ran to a home on Seventh Street for help, officers said.

Neighbors tell FOX 5, they were awakened by loud banging on their windows and called 911.

"He would not leave, steady banging, banging, banging... [yelling] 'My brother got shot, my brother got shot,'" said neighbor Angie Phillips. She said she later learned the person asking for help was a neighbor.

Medics transported the unidentified teen to a local hospital. He's now in stable condition.

Police do not have a description of the vehicle or the gunman.
