Atlanta Police officer injured trying to stop traffic
ATLANTA - An Atlanta Police officer is recovering after she was hit by a car in northwest Atlanta on Thursday morning.
Investigator Melody Tillman was trying to stop several cars on West Paces Ferry Road when one of the vehicles hit her.
She was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where she was in stable condition Thursday morning.
The driver was cited for failure to obey an authorized person directing traffic.
