Atlanta Police need help identifying CVS armed robber

The Atlanta Police Department is asking for help in identifying an armed robbery suspect. Police say a man robbed a CVS on Metropolitan Parkway on June 18.

The robbery occurred around 9:10 p.m. after the suspect asked to speak to an employee about an item in the store, according to police.

The suspect then produced a handgun and demanded to be taken to the money, according to authorities. The suspect took all employees to the manager’s office, where he removed money from the safe before leaving.

Police released the following description of the suspect to go along with the video:

"The suspect was described as a black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’5” to 5’8” tall, with a blue tattoo on his right cheek.  He was wearing an LA Dodgers hat, white V-neck shirt, white pants, black flip-flops and a dark coat."

At this time investigators are working to identify the suspect in the video and are asking anyone with information on the case to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta, at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
