Atlanta mayoral candidates distance themselves from some

Tuesday’s runoff will determine who will run the city of Atlanta in the highest executive office for the next four years.

The runoff for mayor is between Keisha Lance Bottoms and Mary Norwood.

Both have pulled in big endorsements, but Friday they were trying to distance themselves from some big names.

Campaign flyers circulating show pictures of Republican President Donald Trump and candidate Norwood. The message states the Georgia Democratic Party prepared the flyers, although the city election is non-partisan.

Mayor Kasim Reed knows Atlanta voters are predominantly democratic. The candidate claims practical independence.

On the other side, Keisha Lance Bottoms, backed heavily by Reed, showed this week she's growing frustrated at being linked in any negativity to his administration's legal troubles.
