Atlanta Mayor's Flight the Blight initiative

ATLANTA - Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms launches the next phase of her Fight the Blight initiative.

Wednesday, demolition began on several damaged and run down properties on Bolton Road.

Mayor Bottoms said that when she joined the Atlanta City Council back in 2010, some of the first resident complaints she received were about blighted properties.

Mayor Bottoms said the next step is to find a new purpose for the area.
