ATLANTA - Atlanta Police said they made an arrest in a murder captured on camera and posted instantly to social media.
Alaysia Smith was arrested in the death of 32-year-old Latrell Blackmon. Blackmon was found stabbed to death in the Quest Enclave Apartments in the 600 block of Cameron M. Alexander Blvd around 10 p.m. Nov. 20.
Police said Blackmon died at the scene. Investigators said the video of her death was posted to Snapchat and Facebook.
It was later determined the fight was over cigarettes and Blackmon died from stab wounds she received during it, according to police.
Police said at least ten friends were standing around urging the women to fight, but then did nothing to help Blackmon once the knife was pulled Blackmon’s family said the behavior of her friends was inexcusable.
