Atlanta's police chief warns there likely will be more violence tied to a triple-teen shooting early Tuesday.

Erika Shields said tactical units have been deployed in a northwest hotspot where young offenders are engaged in a turf war over drugs and cash. She said she expects others involved in gang activity to retaliate.

Just after midnight Tuesday, residents along Fairburn Road said they heard gunfire. When police arrived, two teens were found on the ground shot. They were rushed to the hospital. A third teen who had been shot was driven to the hospital.

The chief outlined the areas that have police concerned. The trouble can be tracked from Delmar Lane to Fairburn Road to Center Street.

Shields said police can attempt to impose nightly curfews for those 16 and under. But those efforts only go so far. She calls on parents to take responsibility and find out where they are in the evening.
