SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - An ambulance company refutes claims that one of its drivers hit a woman's car and drove away.
Laura Norton said she was involved in a hit and run with an ambulance on Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 285 in Sandy Springs. She tried to get the driver to stop but instead, she said the ambulance pulled around her and took off. Norton snapped a picture of the ambulance and called the police.
The ambulance company issued a statement Thursday counterclaiming that one of their ambulances did not hit Norton. The company also provided a picture of its damage-free ambulance as proof.
Sandy Springs Police said they are investigating this as a hit and run. The ambulance company said it is cooperating with the officers who are investigating the case.
