Amazon Hiring Hundreds of Seasonal Workers

EAST POINT, Ga. - It is getting to be that time of year again. The holidays are right around the corner and before we all know it, it is Christmas. And in preparation for the season of giving, Amazon is hiring about 850 part-time seasonal workers here in Georgia.

Amazon is hiring seasonal fulfillment associates for its East Point distribution center. Each position pays about $10.25 an hour.

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma
  • Be able to work all shifts
  • Be able work overtime as required
  • Read and take directions in English
  • Be able to lift up to 49 pounds
  • Be able to push, pull, squat, and bend to reach the merchandise
  • Be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours
  • Be able pass a drug screening test and background check
