With Thanksgiving coming up, Atlanta’s airport prepares for one of the year's busiest travel times.

Construction projects at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will slow down to make it easier for travelers to get in and out of the airport.

In addition, TSA checkpoints will open earlier and many airlines have increased their staff to prepare for holiday travel.

Transportation Safety Administration officials also said passengers should be aware of new screening procedures for carry-ons.

The airport expects as many as 97,000 people to pass through the airport the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
