Academy President "Heartbroken" Over Oscar Nominees

Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, is speaking out with her thoughts on this year's Oscar nominees "lack of inclusion." Isaacs says it's "heartbreaking."

She congratulates this year's nominees. At the same time, Isaacs is making moves to make sure the membership of The Academy is more diverse. The group will be reviewing membership recruitment.

She also points out this isn't the first time The Academy has made this type of adjusting. During the 60's and 70's, they worked to recruit younger participants. Isaacs wants to broaden that, reiterating the fact that it's 2016--when all groups should be included: gender, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.
