Broncos' team bus involved in minor accident

- The Denver Broncos are back at their hotel in Santa Clara after their buses were involved in a minor accident following their practice at Stanford Stadium.

Team spokesman Patrick Smyth says nobody was injured.

Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware tweeted a photo of players standing alongside their bus.

According to a California Highway Patrol- Golden Gate Division news release, the collision involved a CHP escort of the Broncos team bus.

At approximately 1:45 p.m. officers were providing the escorted drive on southbound US-101 approaching SR-237 in Sunnyvale.

CHP says a Toyota RAV-4 made an unsafe turning maneuver in front of the escort.

Two of the front vehicles in the escort were able to avoid the accident, but the three trailing buses were unable to stop without hitting one another.

A CHP officer was struck by one of the buses and was taken to an area hospital as a precautionary measure.

The bus with the most damage had to be towed away.

The Broncos and Carolina Panthers, who meet in Super Bowl 50, make their first public appearances at media day on Monday night.
