Red Cross: 40 displaced after DeKalb Co. condominium fire

- A condominium fire sent people running for their lives early Friday morning, and now dozens of residents are without a home.

The Brannon Hill condos caught fire shortly before 2 a.m. Officials said there were eight units with residents still inside when the fire broke out.

Responding firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy flames shooting out of the roof of one of the buildings. Crews remain on scene, demolishing the building that was destroyed.

The Red Cross has responded to the scene and is assisting at least 40 displaced residents.
