3 men indicted in deadly drug trafficking scheme in DeKalb County

A DeKalb County jury indicts a man in connection to the death of his wife last year.

Michael Dale Lavigne is one of three men charged in a drug trafficking scheme, that resulted in the death of Lavinge's wife, Alisha Stephens.

It happened at a Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen in the 3000 block of Panola Road near Lithonia on Oct. 22, 2018.

According to police, Lavigne and Stephens were outside looking to buy meth from two men who are alleged gang members. Police said an argument broke out which led to gunfire.

Stephens was killed.

Lavigne, as well as the two other men, are now facing several charges.
