Police: Man arrested for statuatory rape after 4-hour manhunt

- A 20-year-old man was arrested for statutory rape after Cobb County police said he led officers on a 4-hour manhunt.

William Tyler Duke was arrested Monday after police say he took a 12-year-old girl. The girl was found safe after Duke's arrest. According to an arrest warrant, Duke took the girl even after telling him her real age.

Duke allegedly told the victim’s sister’s boyfriend that "he was not thinking of returning her home,” according to an arrest warrant obtained by FOX 5 News. A Ford Expedition was located in a wooded area off Heck Road in Kennesaw, according to police.

The police searched east of Interstate 575 near Bells Ferry Road, and located the truck in a wooded area after four hours, according to authorities. Duke was charged with aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, statutory rape and interference with custody charges, according to officials. He is being held in Cobb County Jail without bond.
